Salmon and Cream Cheese Roll

Serves: approximately 1 Person
Chef Ginzu Difficulty Level (1 blade = easy; 5 blades = very difficult): 1 blade
Please note: This recipe difficulty level is based on the assumption that you either know how to make Makis or have taken the Sushi 101 class. To register for the class, click here and go to the events page to sign up.

  • 1 ounce of sliced sushi grade salmon (1 order of sashimi)
  • 1 tblsp Cream Cheese
  • Handful of sliced cucumber
  • 1 ½ sheet of Nori
  • ¼ cup prepared sushi rice
  • Toasted Sesame Seed


  1. Prepare your Nori by spreading the rice on it and sprinkling the rice with Sesame Seed
  2. Flip over your nori so the rice is against your cutting board
  3. Schmear the cream cheese n the middle of the maki roll from end to end
  4. Place the salmon ontop of the cream cheese
  5. Place the cucumber on top of the salmon
  6. Roll and cut into 6 pieces
